Homemade Chicken Burgers

Have you ever been to Five Guys? If you’ve ever been to this hangout I’m sure you’ve loved the way they serve burgers, with a lot of toppings and a whole lot of sauces unlike what they serve at M’c Donald’s or KFC. It’s different. They can only leave you wanting for more and more. Lol I’m not promoting their burgers but my very own healthier version. The taste of any burger lies in its patty and so it’s very important that you spice it up with a whole lot of ingredients. Do let me know in the comments section if you tried this recipe and how soon you ran out of them!!

Ingredients

  • 250 gms boiled and minced chicken
  • 1 cup finely chopped assorted vegetables of your choice. I have used carrots & french beans. You could add some shredded cabbage or potatoes if you’d like
  • 3-4 chopped green chillies
  • Some freshly chopped coriander
  • 3 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp of fresh cream
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp of pepper powder
  • 2 tsp of garam masala powder
  • oil to shallow fry
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • To make the burgers
  • 4 burger buns

Procedure

For making the Chicken Patty

  1. Clean, wash, boil and mince chicken in a mixer grinder

  2. Add in the veggies, chopped coriander, green chillies, ginger garlic paste and fresh cream to the minced chicken in a seperate bowl

  3. Put a little bit of salt, some pepper powder and garam masala to this mixture and blend well

  5. Coat the patties with bread crumbs

  6. Heat oil in a flat griddle and fry the patties until golden brown from both sides

  7. For making the Burgers

Roast the buns in the same pan with a little bit of butter if you’d like

  8. Place the sliced onions, tomatoes on the buns with the sauces of your choice

  9. Now place the patties in the center of this mixture

  10. You could add a slice of cheese also

Tips

  • You can bring a lot of variations to this dish by adding some pickled onions, cucumber, olives, cheese while serving
  • You could add double patties to make a whopper
